 Byw Bywyd had a stand at the national Eisteddfod of Wales held at Y Faenol where they supplied, free of charge scooters and wheelchairs to the aged and infirm thus giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy the event. This proved to be so successful that Byw Bywyd will continue to offer this service at each National Eisteddfod for at least the next four years. During the months running up to the Eisteddfod a raffle was held with the generous assistance of other local businesses in the area who donated various valuable prizes; this culminated in the draw being made on the final day of the Eisteddfod week and sizeable donations being made to both Age Concern Môn & Gwynedd and the Renal Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd. Merfyn Hughes, one of the Directors of Byw Bywyd had a kidney transplant just over two years ago and this is one of his efforts to help the dialysis section.
